| JoLeen has said that she has created a great number of songs her whole life, but didn't start to writes any of them down until a few years ago. She has also stated that she never aspired to write songs or become a singer, but songs seem to just flow to her. Joleen has musical talent pouring out of her skin and didn't know what to do with it till Josh Sparks pointed her in the right direction. Her songs are usually autobiographical, base on her move to New York or dealing with the passing her sister Bree. Her songs show influences of punk, rock, and pop music. JoLeen has said that she works hard to ensure that each of her songs has its own musical style, rather than trying to develop a distinctive style for her music as a whole. |
